Senior New Media Designer

Direct Vizrt (Viz) artists in CNN Design department focusing on the HLN network.
Train new media designers in Viz programs.
Create innovative design solutions for on air and taped programming, in collaboration with design team, art directors, and editorial department.
Create logos and design new looks for current shows and new show launches.
Utilize Datapool and Viz scripting to pull data and create a workflow used by the editorial staff to change show looks.
Use Visual Basic (VB) scripting in Template Wizard to create user interface (UI) that editorial staff uses to create templated graphics and pull content from social media platforms.
Create animations, full screen graphics, and lower third elements for HLN network, working effectively in a fast-paced news environment.
Develop and maintain templated full screen pilot graphics, and manage font system resource and trio driven lower thirds elements.
Work with Electronic Graphics Operators (EGO) to test graphics and provide troubleshooting support in control rooms.
