HLN DELIBERATION CLOCK

HLN experienced great success covering big trials such as the Jodi Arias trial and the Casey Anthony trial. One component of a trial that the network wanted to display on-air was the deliberation clock. This clock would show the full amount of time the jury was in deliberation before delivering its verdict.

Challenge:

Editorial needs the ability to display and control a deliberation clock on-air to show how long a jury has been in deliberation.

Goal:

Deliver a web app that will directly control VizRT graphics on-air.

• Ability to start and stop the clock
• Ability to restart the clock
• Ability to directly set clock time

I directed a team that consisted of a developer and designers in a successful collaboration and creation of a tool that the editorial staff used to inform viewers in a way not previously possible.
