Keywords was a gameshow that aired on HLN. The network’s prior primary focus was news so the equipment and workflows were not in place. While sitting in the initial meeting and hearing the rules of the game I began to conceptualize a new way to use VizRT that would allow an operator to control the gameplay graphics. After the meeting I created a prototype of the game system and showed it to management. They decided to go with my concept. Further development of the system allowed me to collaborate with engineering to add functioning buzzers as well as working with the working control room at Turner Studios. Using VizRT allowed HLN to quickly turnaround a graphics solution for the show and saved network production cost of contracting an outside vendor.
